Welcome to About Christine! I am a Filipina based in Sydney, Australia with my husband and daughter. I left the workforce last year when we decided to move from Singapore to Sydney. Now a stay at home mom, blogging has become my main form of leisure. The Beginning
I started blogging in 2004, with inspiration gathered from Jay and Junnie, two of the finest bloggers in the world wide web. During marikit’s early years, this blog was featured in the Manila Bulletin’s Blog-o-Rama, courtesy of Ajay. And with a nudge from Ruth, I also wrote an article for the Pinoyexpat’s WorldPinoys. .
More Blogs
I also love to take photos and I share most of them on my “Only the Good Stuff” and “What Simply Works” blogs. I didn’t realize that I’ll get hooked to photo memes and now I’m actively participating in three memes per week. I also love digital scrapping and though I lack the creativity, I still enjoy the process of putting together those lovely papers, embellishments and my favorite scrap-worthy photos. While cooking is something that I was “forced” to learn since I got married, I have come to enjoy it and baking as well. In time, I will have the courage to share those recipes on this blog.
