Busy as a Bumble Bee
Thursday last week, R picked up 5 balikbayan boxes from the airport. His earlier attempt to pick them up wasn’t successful, imagine his frustration cutting time from work and driving from our apartment to the airport only to be advised to produce a document that he wasn’t told to bring when he called Qantas’ office prior his trip?!?! So there, I was stuck with 5 boxes filled with goodies, toys and clothes, which I unpacked and sorted within hmm, 3 days! I can’t live with these huge boxes lying around. I had to clear them all.
We were also busy meeting up with friends on weekends. It is a shame that I didn’t take good pictures of our meet-up, only to regret it now. Since there will be more opportunities to get together in the near future, I promise myself to make use of my trusty cam.
It’s also nice that upon our 2nd week here our friends Calv1n and R0selle recommended a church that R and I like. We’ve been going there since and tonight we’ll attend our 1st bible study.
Then there’s the usual chores and baby caring duties. Amelie’s still a manageable toddler, allowing me to cook and clean in the day. When she starts to tug at my shorts and wants to be carried, I know she wants to play or cuddle. Also, she’s not just walking now, she’s running around the apartment! She climbs the stairs and drags whatever object catches her attention. You’ll see her playing with the laundry basket one time or even the vacuum hose! I just think that with all the snacking I’ve been doing, Amelie can keep me fit. Ha ha.
Here’s the latest from our princess:
Have a beautiful weekend!
