With my youngest child turning one this year, I’m feeling a bit of freedom in terms of thinking about my personal goals.  It really excites me to think of what I’d be doing probably as early as next year, outside of being a stay-at-home mom of course.  I am hoping and praying that it will be something that God wants me to do, something that is not only self-fulfilling but is encouraging for others, too.

I can feel my stomach churn each time I think of the possibilities.  It could be anything!  I’m really excited, very, very excited.

What will keep me busier in the coming weeks is planning for the birthday celebrations of our kids.  I can’t believe that Amelie will turn 4 in 4 months’ time and Isaiah, 1 in 2 months’ time.  Where did the time go?

Evenings are my favorite time of day.  When the kids are sound asleep and the husband and I are done with the chores.  It’s just the perfect time to relax.

Dear Sy,

You have grown so much since the time this photo was taken.  You were 7 months old in the photo and you are at your 9th month now.  Your fourth teeth has made its first appearance two weeks ago and it seems you have gotten used to teething blues.  Funny that you prefer chewing on towels than using rubber teethers.  All four that I bought for you just went straight to the trash bin. Hee.

You eat very well.  Not as much as your Ate Amelie did when she was at your age, but just the same, you eat a variety of fruits, vegetables and some cheese.  Your current favorites include avocado, apples and squash.  On your 10th month, I’ll introduce you to rice.

Mommy was a bit worried that you hated tummy time and because of that you’ve never shown interest in crawling but Mom was pleasantly surprised to see you sitting on your bottom for the first time two days ago!  Today, you do this more often and it looks like you enjoy more time on the playmat than before.  You are propping up to stand and I’m sure you can do this on your own pretty soon.

Daddy, Mommy and Ate Amelie love it when we see you do actions each time we sing “I Have Two Hands”.  You raise both arms and clap your hands.  I should share a video of this to our family, they’ll be delighted to see you do these actions.

Your favorite books include My First Bible and shapes books.  You help Mom flip the pages and my.. how you laugh so hard when Mom makes faces and weird voices!

You know what?  As you grow, you and your Ate Amelie are becoming much closer.  You give her hugs, smiles and laughter that makes your Ate love you more.  I can tell that she is excited to play with you.  It won’t be long and Mommy and Daddy will see you running and jumping and doing all sorts of silly things with your sister.  That’s what siblings do.

The three of us are looking forward to more happy days with you.  Your pleasant disposition and charming smiles make our hearts melt.  Keep growing and glowing!
