We got invited to two kiddie parties this month. R and I take these opportunities for (1) Amelie to have playtime with lots of kids and (2) for us to make more friends.

We know the parents of the celebrants through church. I was actually surprised that being new attendees, we didn’t think that we’ll be invited. The first party was Bella’s 1st birthday and it was held at Little Dynamos in North Sydney. It is an indoor playground and the kids (as well as the parents who will run after the kids) must wear socks. There’s a huge equipment for slides and what-not, which very much occupied all the kids who can manage to play on their own. There was also a spot for kids under 4. The kids were all drenched from sweat as they played non-stop from 5 past to 8. Amelie had her own fun running around caring less where she’s actually at.

Then today we attended a baby dedication and a birthday celebration. Yuri had his dedication at church and the reception was made to coincide with his sister’s 4th birthday. The reception was held at a family restaurant in Bankstown. Amelie didn’t get to finish the whole party as she fell asleep midway.

At least now I’m confident that Amelie will have friends to invite on her 2nd birthday this year. I wonder who among these kids will be her barkada.
